THE DIRECTORY FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Directory?
It is designed to increase awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (AD/ADRDs), brain aging, TBI, sports concussions, and to connect adult men to research opportunities designed to improve brain health.
How does the Directory provide value?
The Directory is open to all men (18 years and older) to help us better understand brain health, injuries, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (AD/ADRDs), and mental health.
1. Improve outcomes for men: The Directory makes it possible for researchers to examine the unique issues faced by men.
2. Increase research participation: Men are historically less likely to participate in research studies.
3. Increase men's brain health literacy: Men are twice as likely as women to have inadequate health literacy.
By participating in The Directory, men will be exposed to educational opportunities through research participation that will hopefully increase their awareness, perception, and knowledge of brain health.
